Our client is a well established and respected international freight forwarder in Malaysia. Due to to their ever increasing business volume ,they are currently seeking to appoint capable candidates to assume the role of Freight Documentation Officer within their busy operations team. The position will be based at their business operations head office in Kelana Jaya.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well established organization in logistics industry. Previous experience in logistics or shipping industry ideally suitable although those without the relevant experience will be duly considered.
The Documentation Office will be involved in the following tasks:
Working within a small team but dedicated team you will be required to assist with the issuing, certification and authorization of a wide range of export and import documentation, duties and tax issues,shipping terms and method of payment.
Your duties will include:
•Manage and coordinate international and domestic shipments.
•Process all sea freight documentation accurately and within agreed time frames.
•Ensure that all necessary documents are received from overseas offices to enable import shipments and clearances to take place.
•Input data into EDI management system.
•Ensure charges are assigned to the correct payers.
•Check and verify Bill of Lading/invoice print.
We are looking for Malaysian female ideally in age group 23-32.
•Minimum qualification: Diploma in Shipping Management, Business or Accounting.
•2 years experience working with a freight forwarding/logistics industry.
•Current knowledge of sea/ocean freight documentation and procedures is a distinction advantage.
•Good communication skills with proficiency in English.
•Computer literate with strong IT application skills.
