Our client has been in the business of providing contract manufacturing services for cosmetics, personal care and household products for over three decades in Malaysia. Today, they are the leading manufacturer of these products for renowned and leading brands in the industry. Their production facilities are located at Kepong Industrial Area in Kepong. Currently they have an immediate exciting vacancy for a Supply Chain Operations Executive to come on board.
As the Supply Chain Operations Executive, you will have broad responsibility covering Purchasing & Planning of production materials, logistics and customer service role. You will be responsible to undertake and lead a supply chain operations across the manufacturing business critical activities of material planning and management and customer service. You will focus on purchasing & inventory management and logistics functions within the organization. In this role, you will provide the key interface between manufacturing activities and corporate business customers while maintaining a strong hold on the supply chain process. It will be your primary duties to purchase relevant necessary materials,additives and packaging materials.
The main job responsibilities:
•Responsible for supply chain planning for raw materials and packaging materials to support production.
•Perform day-to-day procurement activities, including purchasing, delivery follow up material planning to ensure goods delivered within time lead.
•Responsible to prepare and process purchase orders and all related necessary documents.
•Managing planning of raw materials and monitoring inventory levels to facilitate production.
•Liaising with suppliers on quotations. lead time and minimum quality standards for raw materials and packaging materials.
•On going review of availability of inventories and orders and material planning.
•Liaise coordinate with forwarding agents on indent orders and smooth shipment and delivery.
•Liaise and coordinate with corporate customers on product delivery.
To succeed within this role, you will have a significant supply chain management background within a manufacturing environment.
•Male or female in age group 30-40.
•Possess minimum Diploma qualification in Purchasing Management or Business Administration or equivalent.
•At least 3-5 years of purchasing and material planning experience within manufacturing environment.
•Strong negotiation and communication skills.
•Proficient in computer system is essential with knowledge in MRP system an advantage.
