Our client, a public listed company with diversified business operations in Malaysia and abroad, is seeking to recruit a Assistant Group Accountant for their financial services Division. The organization is currently experiencing an exciting period of growth and is seeking an additional resource within the finance team. This is a full time position based at their corporate head office in Shah Alam.
The objective of the role is primarily to look after the Management Accounts within the financial Services Division of the Group. As the Assistant Group Accountant, you will be responsible for all accounting portfolio for the entities of the Group. You will be hands-on with the day-to-day running of the accounting functions and producing financial and management reports. This will entail preparation of full set of company level management and its related companies' management accounts.
In addition, you will also manage and prepare the financial Services Division group consolidation management, quarterly reporting, group financial analysis and Group financial statement.
Provision of financial services including coordination of of the preparation of the annual financial statements, tax returns and preparation of financial statements. Responsible in taxation and audit matters.
Aspiring candidates will need to be a fully qualified Accountant with a solid technical accounting experience plus some years in financial reporting.
•A qualified degree in Accountancy or ACCA/CIMA graduate.
•Post qualification experience of consolidating several number of entities-subsidiaries and joint ventures.
•Prior experience in managing accounting functions with financial services industry will be highly regarded.
•Advanced skills in Excel.
•Excellent communication skills with good command of English (Verbal & written).
