Our client, an established international freight forwarder in Malaysia, is looking for a Freight Forwarding Operations Assistant Manager to join their team in Petaling Jaya. This position is permanent in nature and reporting to Director.
Key responsibilities will involve the supervision and guidance to the shipping team who specialise in Australian and Far East markets primarily exports. The incumbent will be involved in coordinating the flow/movement of products information and documentation among the shippers, consignees, ship carriers in international trade. As Assistant Manager of the export operations, you will together with a team of 6 full time employees manage day to day operations, making sure order entry,bookings, issue and documentation are handled with accuracy. In the process in providing customer service,ensure that adequate service to customers' logistics requirements.
The ideal candidate shall be a female in age group 28-40, who should possess solid operational knowledge and customer service within Logistics/Freight forwarding. She must be educated minimum up to Diploma level in Logistics or Shipping Management or Business Studies. Suitable candidate will have key technical skills that are industry relevant, Customs procedures & requirements and proficient use of Microsoft Excel. She would have gained direct export operational experience with a freight forwarder. To be considered for this supervisory role, candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in freight forwarding operations skills. In addition, she must be proficient in English and conversant in BM and Chinese/Mandarin.
