Our client is a leading established general insurance company in Malaysia. Their corporate head office is located at Kuala Lumpur city center with daily business operating hours from 8.45 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday. Currently they are seeking to recruit an accounting qualified candidate for their Accounts Department.
Job scope & responsibilities
This is a permanent executive position where you will be reporting to Finance Manager within the accounting team.
As Accounts Executive, you will be involved in the daily operations and activities of the Accounting Department, which will include processing of invoices,Purchase orders,Delivery orders and monthly payments.
•Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
•Manage full set of accounts.
•Prepare and ensure timely reporting of monthly management reports and audit schedule.
•Prepare monthly aging receivable reports.
•Process journal entries and issue payment vouchers.
•Process claims debits/credit notes and various technical statement of accounts for submission.
•Maintain proper filing and accounting records.
•Candidate must possess minimum LCCI or Diploma in Accountancy.
•Knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles.
•Similar experience in accounting role within insurance business would be preferred.
•Two years of relevant work experience in audit and manage full set of accounts.
•Experience working within the insurance/financial services industry.
•Proficient with ability to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
•Familiar and proficient in UBS Accounting system and MS Word and Excel.
